Last month, the Latin American Cultural Center (LACC), in collaboration with Colombia en Pittsburgh, had the honor of welcoming Daniel García-Peña Jaramillo, Ambassador of Colombia to the United States, to Pittsburgh.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for members of the Colombian community, local business leaders, academics, students, and other stakeholders to engage directly with the Ambassador in an open and productive dialogue. During the event, attendees had the chance to ask questions, share perspectives, and discuss issues of importance to Colombians living abroad, as well as opportunities for strengthening connections between Colombia and the Pittsburgh region.

The gathering fostered meaningful conversations on topics ranging from community engagement and economic development to education, cultural exchange, and the role of the Colombian diaspora in promoting bilateral relations.
LACC is grateful to Colombia en Pittsburgh for its partnership in organizing this event and to all community members who participated. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Ambassador García-Peña for his time, openness, and commitment to engaging with Colombians and friends of Colombia in our region.
Through events like this, LACC remains committed to creating spaces that encourage dialogue, strengthen community ties, and celebrate the rich cultural and civic contributions of Latin Americans in Pittsburgh and beyond.
