Documentary
In this visually sumptuous and poetic documentary, filmmaker Efraín Mojica takes us on a journey to their hometown of Penjamillo, Mexico, to witness the annual jaripeo, or rodeo. The film focuses on two central figures to highlight the queer subculture of the hypermasculine tradition: Noé, a macho cowboy who is quietly out to his family and friends, and Joseph, an unabashedly flamboyant gay man who loves to attend the jaripeo in drag.
