The Latin American Cultural Center (LACC) has announced the launch of Cine Américas 2026, its annual showcase of contemporary Latin American cinema, taking place over three days October 15, 16, and 17. Bringing together feature films and one short film from Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala and Mexico.
This year’s program brings together award-winning documentaries, intimate personal narratives, compelling dramas, supernatural storytelling, and innovative experimental approaches to filmmaking. The selected works examine memory, identity, migration, family, sexuality, gender, social justice, environmental stewardship, and artistic expression through stories that are at once personal and universal. The festival also celebrates a new generation of Latin American filmmakers who continue to redefine the possibilities of storytelling.
